Condolence & Memory Journal

I knew Mr. Carrozzo first when he was Roderick Meredith's assistant. When I was a ministerial trainee starting in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, he was sent to Minneapolis to conduct a district ministerial conference in the summer of 1969. I was very impressionable and remember well how he gave a motivating talk to us young ministers and trainees (I was 21). He was fiery and zealous. He started attending United Church of God in recent years when his health allowed. I had hoped to meet him on one of my recent visits a little over year ago, but he could not make it to services. He will always be a person I remember because of vibrant nature.

I met Al Corrozzo in 1970 in the Pasadena area. I had worked in southern California as a ministerial trainee and later as an elder and he was my senior supervisor or superintendent at the time. A group of us area ministers would meet in his office on a regular basis and discuss church affairs. He was an interesting, colorful and energetic man who was committed to serving the needs of the area congregations.
He ordained me as an elder in 1971.
